ASCBU HOLDS MOVIE NIGHT
California Baptist University freshman were treated to a light-hearted screening last night by student leaders. Freshman representatives held a free screening of Sony Pictures Animation's "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs". Representatives also served pizza and hamburgers for attending students.

MEN TRIED IN PASTOR'S SONS MURDER
Three men accused of fatally stabbing a prominent pastor's son more than a year ago in Temecula were ordered to stand trial for murder last week. Ryan Armstrong died Dec. 26, 2008, after he was stabbed repeatedly in an alley near ET Sports Lounge. Police said the defendants got into an argument with Armstrong's group of friends at the bar and attacked them outside a short time later. Armstrong was the son of Ron Armstrong, the founding pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Wildomar.

NEW VIRUS POSES SERIOUS THREAT
A new computer virus is known to have breached almost 75,000 computers in 2,500 organizations around the world, including user accounts of popular social network Web sites, according Internet security firm NetWitness. The latest virus, known as "Kneber botnet", gathers login credentials to online financial systems, social networking sites and e-mail systems from infested computers and reports the information back to hackers, NetWitness said in a statement. Companies that were infiltrated included pharmaceutical giant Merck & Co., Cardinal Health Inc., software firm Juniper Networks and Paramount Pictures.

MAN MISTAKEN FOR BURGLAR SHOT
A Moreno Valley man was shot and killed by police who say they thought the man was a burglar. Family members say that Jose Ruiz had locked himself out of his own house and was trying to enter through the back door when a neighbor reported a robbery to police. According to initial reports, Ruiz became combative with the officers after they entered the house. Gunfire inside the home followed. An evidence report showed 17 shell casings were recovered.
